What changed in price and access

  1. Tencent unveiled WorkBuddy's enterprise edition for international companies: SSO, per-department security policies, audit log ↗
  2. WorkBuddy refreshed its personal plans: Pro at $10 a month with 2,000 credits, the free plan at 100 credits a month ↗

Weak point: No country list: in September the vendor named six markets, in November "more than 21"; Russia was never mentioned.

How to check: In the enterprise edition set blocked paths and commands that need approval, and read the audit log. More below ↓

What it gives a manager

  • Security policies per department: blocked folders, commands that need confirmation, an allowed-sites list and an audit log
  • Team at $40 per seat a month: a shared credit pool, an admin console and one bill for the whole team
  • Sign-in via SSO or Tencent OneID: access is granted and revoked from the console along with the org structure
  • Send a task from Telegram or Slack to your work computer and get the result back in the same chat

Weak points

  • No country list: in September the vendor named six markets, in November "more than 21"; Russia was never mentioned.
  • The built-in read tool cannot open PDFs: the agent had to install a library itself to pull text out of the report.
  • Schedules and tasks sent from Telegram run only while the computer is on and WorkBuddy is running.
  • The agent rejected its own first slide draft as ugly and redid it: the trends report took 3 minutes, the deck another 4.

How to check this agent’s work

  1. In the enterprise edition set blocked paths and commands that need approval, and read the audit log.
  2. Check the scheduled-run history: did the task run, and with what result.
  3. Run the outcome through a second model: WorkBuddy lets you pick DeepSeek, GPT or Claude.

Picking an agent takes an evening. After that the question is not the price but whether you can trust what it did.

Stop re-checking AI by hand

Checking everything an agent does by hand throws away the gain. Not checking means made-up numbers in a report. We are preparing a short course: in a week you build a check for one of your recurring AI outputs – a second agent and a couple of automatic cross-checks find the errors before your manager does.

What the course covers: programme and price

Strengths

  • Desktop app for Windows and macOS plus iOS and a browser version; reviewers ran it with no setup.
  • Summarised a 175-page Nvidia annual report PDF, then turned it into an 8-slide deck with the report's figures in one conversation.
  • Model is picked per conversation: Hy3, Hy4 preview, Kimi, DeepSeek, GPT, Claude or a custom OpenAI-compatible endpoint.
  • Free gives 100 credits a month, Pro is $10 with 2,000 credits, Team is $40 per seat with an admin console.

Alternatives

What it can do for you
  • Report, presentation, spreadsheet for review
  • Scheduled tasks with a run history and a notification when the file is ready
  • [object Object]
Example from a review: Nvidia annual report into a deck

The reviewer attached Nvidia's fiscal 2026 annual report PDF (175 pages) from his Downloads folder and asked for a summary. The built-in read tool could not extract PDF text, so the agent installed tooling on its own and returned a summary with financial highlights, segment performance and the Groq acquisition. Asked to 'create a small ppt deck to present these findings', it invoked the Tencent-pptx skill and produced an 8-slide Nvidia-branded deck saved to a folder; the video gives no timing. The reviewer called it a good starter deck that still needs manual edits.
